2023 Stauber-Sherlock Holmes Literacy Grant Winner

The Pennington School
Program: “Meckler Library Detective Agency”

The goal of the Stauber-Sherlock Literacy Grant is to encourage young people to read while introducing them to Sherlock Holmes, particularly through Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s stories. By providing financial support in the form of grants, the initiative aims to fund projects that bring more young people into the world of Sherlock Holmes. It seeks to engage both current fans and those unfamiliar with Holmes, offering financial assistance to help develop such projects. This effort also honors Jan Stauber’s legacy of introducing young people to the iconic detective.
